Fortnite patch notes provide you with an insight into what Epic Games has addressed in the latest update. The problem is, Epic stopped releasing official patch notes when the black hole sucked away the original Fortnite map, way back at the start of chapter two.
For those who are unaware, patch notes detail the latest fixes, changes, and additions for each update. 31.20 Fortnite Ecosystem updates and release notes
In the Fortnite Ecosystem v31.20 update, these changes are all about celebrating Fortnite’s seventh birthday. We can’t believe it has been that long too! However, this specific birthday refers to the game’s battle royale mode. You have until October 1, 2024, to complete new quests and get some exclusive birthday goodies.
Fortnite Birthday Presents
That’s right, birthday presents are back in Fortnite. You can find these delightful loot bundles scattered around the map right now, with many of them often offering up some great goodies to aid your team. From dazzling weapons to a trusty shield pot, there’s something in all of them to help secure that tasty dub. You can even find the flare gun, one of the most underrated items in Fortnite history. Whether you’re lighting up enemies or burning down structures, the flare gun is worth picking up.
Balloons are also back, in case you need to travel around the map quicker with a little pep in your step. We’re glad to see the return of birthday cake too, another useful way to regain health on the island.
Fortnite Birthday Medallion
Medallions are all the rage in Fortnite, and now there’s a Fortnite birthday medallion waiting to be picked up. This medallion gives you up to three balloons at a time, and unlike other medallions, it won’t reveal your location. Now that’s a dub.
Fortnite Birthday Quests
Birthday Quests are live from now until October 1, 2024. Complete individual Quests for XP, and complete several to unlock rewards that are out-of-this-world delicious:
- Complete One Birthday Quest – Birthday Bud Spray
- Complete Three Birthday Quests – Cake Clobberer Pickaxe
- Complete Five Birthday Quests – Sprinkly Space Cake Back Bling
